Fix Your Teeth
Smiling not only makes you feel good, it signals to others that you are friendly and approachable. For an attractive smile, you need to keep your teeth healthy and looking great. Brushing and flossing is a start, but remember to schedule regular cleanings with a dental hygienist. You may also want to discuss other treatments with your dentist, such as teeth whitening or straightening. Braces are more effective when you’re young, but adults can also benefit. Many choices in braces are available these days, and your dental insurance may provide some coverage.
Practice Good Posture
Good posture can benefit you physically, emotionally, and socially. As you correct bad habits and strengthen the muscles that help you stand tall, you may see a reduction in aches and pains. You’ll be able to breathe more deeply, and your food will digest better. Moreover, your good posture will lead to a more positive self-image. Yoga is a great way to improve posture and maintain it. Stretches, especially those using resistance bands, as well as weight training, are also helpful. Focus on the muscles in your back, thighs, and core.
Developing good habits of self-care will boost your self-image because you will feel better and look better. You’ll also feel a sense of purpose and accomplishment that can only come with setting and reaching goals. The key is integrating a healthy body with a healthy mind.
