We’ve all been there, you are looking in the mirror, and inspecting yourself, and you start to see little hairs poking out of your skin in all the wrong places. While body hair is beautiful, and you should rock it however you are comfortable, when your body hair makes you uncomfortable in any way, shape, or form, you can start to feel your self-confidence dip right away. But there is nothing wrong with getting rid of unwanted body hair, in fact, if it helps you feel great about yourself, it is the perfect thing to do. Here are three ways that you can get rid of uncomfortable body hair.
The first thing that you can do to get rid of uncomfortable body hair is to shave. Shaving is the first method of hair removal that most of us were familiarized with when we first started sprouting body hair as adolescents. Shaving may not be the most permanent method of hair removal, but it is a relatively simple, easy, and painless way to get rid of hair in areas of skin that tend to be flatter and more two dimensional. Shaving is a great option for your legs and arms. Just be sure to be careful around the knees and elbows to avoid nicking yourself.
Get a Wax
Another option you can use to remove your unwanted and uncomfortable body hair is to get wax. Waxing is a great, slightly long-term alternative to shaving in areas that can be harder to reach, or less easy to reach with a razor. Waxing can be quite painful, but after a wax you can make it 6-8 weeks or longer before needing to get waxed again, whereas shaving will last no more than a week or two before needing some more love. You should exfoliate your skin before getting hair waxed to reduce pain. This will help get any dead skin out of the way and get your hairs standing up and out of your pores.
Laser Hair Removal
Your final option to get rid of uncomfortable body hair is to try out laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is a great choice for areas that you know you will never want hair again, as this is supposed to be a permanent hair removal solution. While laser hair removal can be quite painful depending on the specific type of treatment, it can keep your skin hair free forever. Talk to your dermatologist if you feel that this option might be right for you.
Nobody likes dealing with uncomfortable body hair. And luckily, you don’t have to, you can get it removed in all sorts of ways. Consider these three major methods of hair removal and figure out what your best solution is.
